Application Deadline for Advanced Pain Management Fellowship:

May 1st for class beginning the next August. Candidates will be notified of admission status by August 1st.  Apply online today at www.applyweb.com/tcug/.


All students accepted in the TCU advanced pain management program will attend a one day required orientation on the TCU campus in Fort Worth, TX. Students will meet the program administrators, faculty, and administrative staff in person. We will cover expectations, clinical requirements, and documentation of clinical experiences.

The TCU Non-Surgical Pain Management Fellowship is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 222 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068; (847) 655-1160. The fellowship’s term of accreditation is June 2016- May 2021, at which time it may choose to seek continued accreditation.


The School of Nurse Anesthesia office is located in Suite 3101 on the third floor of the Annie Richardson Bass building.

Advanced Pain Management Admissions

Advanced Pain Management Admissions

Applicants meeting the following criteria will be considered for admission:

  • Graduate degree in Nursing, or an appropriate graduate degree from an accredited school or college in the United States.
  • Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse
  • Re-certification as a nurse anesthetist by the NBCRNA
  • AANA membership
  • Completion of prerequisites (AANA Jack Neary I Workshop which includes 5 AANALearn online modules and a Physical Assessment course offered by the AANA)
  • Application fee: $60 (non refundable)
  • If English is not the first language, a score of at least 94 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) within the last two years

Candidates who satisfactorily meet these criteria will be invited for an evaluated interview.

Application Deadlines

May 1st for class beginning the next August. Candidates will be notified of admission status by June 1st.

DNP-A application deadlines: July 1st for class beginning the next year. Completed early applications will be given preference for
interviews. Interviewees will be notified by August 1. Interview dates for 2017 are August 22, 24, 29 and 31. Candidates
will be notified of admission status by October 1st. Apply online today at www.applyweb.com/tcug/.
